A Chair for Both Patient and Nurses
Years ago, we were asked to solve a problem in Photopheresis with an infusion chair. The manufacturer cooperated by incorporating elements from a different type of chair. The nurses cooperated by evaluating each iteration and eventual improvement. Since then, we've worked in many apheresis departments and here's what we've learned to love with a product we've been working with for 3 years:
NURSE SAFETY
The Elevate ZG Exam Lift adjusts for each nurse, providing an ergonomic workspace for each individual working in the department.
PATIENT COMFORT
Sitting a long time in one place is less annoying when positioning can be personalized by accounting for body shape and weight, ability to remove discomfort by repositioning, and making the chair more familiar with their phones.
Instead of being captive, the patient can have the nurse reposition them as their body starts to feel stiff or uncomfortable multiple times throughout the procedure. Their phone can remain charged and within reach or have a tablet with entertainment available.
The nurse can support the patient's arms whether they are sitting upright or in the sleep position because the tables can be moved from the front to the back of the chair
The most important thing is communication with the clinical staff to find the best configuration of a recliner for the specific needs.
